“A retired husband is a wife’s full-time job.” This according to my wonderful, long-suffering wife, Isolde.
I have two children: My son, Sean, and daughter, Janine, who lives in Australia. She, in turn, has spoiled me with two beautiful grandchildren.
After surviving five years at Grey, I did my national duty in the navy.
Off to Pretoria where I obtained my B degree at Tuks and my Honours at Unisa. I spent ten years there and became a hardened Blue Bulls supporter.
I played some good hockey there and represented Transvaal. In 1980, I moved to Bethlehem where I still am today. I love playing golf.
It is amazing that fifty years of life can be condensed into five paragraphs!
Life has been happy, challenging and successful. It has treated me well.
